The purposes for which the Corporation is formed are:
To encourage, promote, and foster a current interest and concern in all projects of community welfare, public and private, of whatever nature which have as their aim, the advancement of the physical, social or moral standards of the community and which to promote social and civil relations among members of the community.
To gather information and inform the membership as to matters affecting the community and to act as a unified voice for the opinion of the membership in such matters. Further, the corporation shall encourage programs and activities within the community which will benefit the membership of the community.
To do any other thing incidental to and connected with the foregoing purpose or in advancement thereof, but not for pecuniary profits or financial gain of its directors or officers except as permitted under Article 5 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
To acquire, lease, construct, own, operate and maintain any buildings and premises which may be necessary to carry out the purposes herein above set forth.
To acquire the assets of other similar Not-for-Profit corporations, whether by purchase, gift, merger, consolidation or otherwise.
